I have become obsessed with skincare over the past few months. I used to be makeup obsessed and would cake on so much, every single day.
I started to see a dermatologist over a year ago because of cystic acne and I have seen such a difference in my skin since starting my little skin care journey.
Here are my current holy grail products!
First off, I wear significantly less makeup than I did a year or two ago. I maybe wear makeup 1-3 times a week. I hardly ever wear makeup to school now because I am comfortable with my skin. I still love makeup and how it can transform a person, but wearing it constantly isn’t necessary for me… just personal preference 🙂 I should also mention that my skin type is more dry/normal.
I love Cetaphil moisturizing cream, I use it morning and night. When I first started using a medicated acne cream my skin was extremely dry and red because I wasn’t moisturizing properly.. adding this to my skincare routine was essential!
I do splurge more on my skin care and hope that when i’m 70, I look 50. I love my Creme De La Mer, especially during the cold winter. I only use this at night due to the high price tag associated with the small quantity. Its truly ultra rich and gives a dewy finish.
I only use a toner every 2-3 days because of how drying they are. I do find that toners get all of the gunk off of my skin, but they just dry me out like crazy.
I use Tea Tree Oil from The Body Shop on my nose and where my pores are larger.
Probably the most unnecessary product that I use (but love) is the SkinCeuticals Resveratrol B E. I use it because 1. My plastic surgeon recommended it. 2. Because it has 1% pure vitamin E and it helps with skin radiance.. it really does, which sort of makes me sad because I will be more inclined to re-purchase it. I only use this at night. Instead of using this you can try out the Trade Joe’s Vitamin E oil, it’s only around $10 and works and feels great!
I love love love Bio Oil! I use it on my face (because it’s very dry), in my hair, on my scars.. everywhere, I swear by Bio Oil.
I use Shiseido eye cream, which I am thinking about replacing with another product. I don’t think it’s worth the money, it’s so so.
I received a sample of Clarins Lip Oil and just had to buy the full size product. I use this throughout the day because it has a light pink tint and feels great on my lips. It is the cure for dry lips! I highly recommend it!
The product that has changed my skin is the adapalene gel that my dermatologist prescribed. I owe my clear skin to this product!
Thanks for keeping up!
