A good friend of mine from college, Sam, recently wrote a piece on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). It is not a surprise that this is a hot topic in the media as well as society these past few months, unfortunately, this subject can become hostile very quickly. I truly loved this piece she wrote on ICE. She discussed a tough topic in an intellectual way without letting her emotions overpower the facts presented to you in the article! I hope that you take the time to read Sam’s article – use her article to help you formulate your own opinion on what is going on in the United States instead of looking towards mainstream media who are utilizing political affiliation to point fingers at one another. I am a big believer in using media outlets as a resource in formulating an opinion on a topic, but please make sure to be including a healthy dose of sources from the left, the right, the middle, and international news agencies. I highly prefer to get a substantial amount of information from the BBC, Reuters, and the Associated Press. Ultimately, how I pick my news sources depends on where the topic is coming from and if the news outlet is a not-for-profit or non-partisan.
Thank you so much for KUWK and I hope you enjoyed this type of post, it’s definitely a little different from my traditional beauty, mental health, or lifestyle posts! I hope that you subscribe to my blog for more & please go over to my good friend Sam’s blog to check out what she has to say! Xoxo
